The Big Five Personality Test: Do Its Traits Capture Everyone?

Even though the Big Five Test is the commonly used model of personality in academic psychology, there is one inherent flaw recently noted by experts. In essence, its validity outside of western, educated, industrialized, rich, and democratic (WEIRD) populations is unclear. We examine the Five-Factors Model (FFM) and discuss the latest research claiming the personality test is biased and address the need for an unbiased, accurate assessment tool.
